Be a Champion for OMC!

Be innovative in your involvement. Here are a list of examples to inspire you to imagine how you or your organization can get involved:

  • Participation in meetings including the planning and implementation of programs
  • Participation of a staff member on a committee
  • Meeting space
  • Copies for meetings, flyers, etc
  • Staff time for making copies, materials, etc
  • Staff time sending mailings, e-mails, etc
  • Recruitment of additional community members to support the work of OMC
  • Discounts, coupons, etc for participants at OMC events

I contribute to OMC for (at least) two important reasons: 1) the stellar quality of OMC's services, adapting to the needs of a community in major transition with immigrants and refugees, relying upon the generosity of that community to keep its vital mission alive, an approach I believe in supporting; 2) my personal connection with you, Brenda (as well as your predecessors), for whom I have the deepest respect and admiration for what you've been able to accomplish with "so little," and I want to put my money where my mouth is by making a contribution.
